Male Postpartum

So me and my fiance recently had a baby boy 3 months ago. Everything was fine... Until my fiance started acting different. He grew really depressed.... Every time I leave him with our son I come back to him just staring at him and crying. I've never seen him get this way before. I walked in on him washing dishes and he was just standing there crying, not even sure why. He said he feels no connection to our son. I was wondering if he was going through male Postpartum. And is it as dangerous as female postpartum.
