My heart 😭😍

My son turned 2 in October and he’s just been the sweetest little thing lately. He’s always been really affectionate but yesterday he made me cry. Last week he was looking at my engagement ring and asked if he could wear it- I said that it’s very special to me so he needed to be extra careful and could only have it for a second. He asked why it was special and I said it was from his dad, and it meant that we love each other very much and want to be together forever. He said “awww mummy daddy love you” and that was the end of it. Yesterday he was being really loving and kept coming over to me to give hugs and kisses. While we were cuddling up I said I loved him so much, and he instantly jumped up and ran to the kitchen shouting for me to wait there. I got up to see what he was doing and he was like “no mum wait, I surprise you” so I waited in the other soon. He ran back in saying to close my eyes so I did, and he came over, held my hand, put something onto my finger and said to to open my eyes. He’d put on a plastic washer from his toy tool set. I asked what it was for, and he pointed at my engagement ring and said “this one from daddy, love you”, then pointed at his washer and said “from me, love you mum” 😭😭
