Unusual discharge

I'm 22 years old and have been on a new bc pill (Mercilon) for just over 2 weeks. I had a bit of thrush over the weekend which I treated with cream - I stopped using it once it had stopped itching. Now, a few days later, I am experiencing a little bit of brown/yellow discharge and some more itching. I'm also feeling a tiny bit tender down there. Could this be related to the pill? I took rigevidon before this one (stopped taking because of low libido) and never had issues with spotting. Any advice please? I have an appointment with a gynaecologist on Thurs so I can ask then but I'm really worried
