Makeup?

Question

Was anyone told they could not wear makeup for their scheduled c-section but still wore LIGHT makeup? I’m planning on wearing powder, blush, and mascara even though they told me not to wear makeup. Sorry if this sounds vain but we are having a birth photographer and I feel a perk of having a section should be that I can look decent while giving birth.

They dont want make up or nail polish because it can cover signs on low oxygen levels aka turning purple

I'm not sure about why your doctor is telling you this I have seen many women's c-section and birth photos with makeup. 
I had my last c-section with makeup and my lace front wig on 💁 I asked my doctor several times and he said it was fine. 
(We did not have a pro-photographer 😂)

And he came out just fine 💪 
We're having another c-section later on this year and I will probably do it again. 😉

I haven’t asked this question but I will 100% be wearing makeup. I seriously will fight my dr on it. 
I’m not trying to have a cut crease, false lashes, glitter, and a liquid lip or anything....but definitely wearing some long wear foundation with powder bronzer/blush and at least a crease color with waterproof eyeliner and mascara, plus some brow gel/powder. 
I won’t look hella made up or anything, but just polished as I prefer to look anytime I leave the house. I’m not even going to ask the question and give him the chance to say no, nooooooo way.

I wore it for both my emergency and planned C-sections. I didn’t want to look super gross in all the birth pictures 😂

Not vain, I work mascara and concealer. They’re not going to make you scrub it off especially if they can’t really tell - they also say not to have your nails painted but if you show up with a full set of painted acrylic nails they won’t do/say anything lol. i  would go as natural as possible (no eyeshadow or blush).

I had to have on no jewelry and they made me take it off at the hospital. But I was allowed to wear make up as long as it wasn’t super heavy and I was allowed to have my nails done too.

I wasn’t told this, I had to take all my jewelry out, which I get in case they have to shock you, but I’d wear makeup if I wanted it has no metal and no medical reason for you not to wear it🤷‍♀️

I had a semi emergency csection and had on jewelry, makeup and nail polish. There was zero issue.
