Hey guys so I wanna tell my friend to ask my crush if he is willing to go out with me or text me. I’m gonna giver her my phone number and tell him that if he is interested to text me and if not it’s okay and she’s gonna ask for his phone number as well. Should I or is this dumb ?
Ps. He is like the shy type of guy so idk what he will say but wish me luck

I can definitely tell you’re young by this post because I’ve been there and seen it be done. It would also be nice coming from you. If you don’t feel so comfortable telling him in person that you like him just ask for his number so y’all can text. Then after youre texting tell him you like him and see where it goes.

ask him yourself. why do you need your friend to ask for you? worst case scenario is he says no and everyone moves on. it's better to ask them yourself in order to show confidence and genuine interest.
