Texting

My daughter was at a sleep over last weekend. When she came home I texted the mom to say than you for having her over. The mom replied with “she’s welcome here anytime, she really is a great kid” I wasn’t sure if I should reply with another thank you or leave it at that. My hubby said not to reply since I already said thank you but now a week later I’m starting to feel bad for not replying. What do you think? I should point out that I have some social anxiety when it comes to texting or even speaking with people I don’t really know.
