He is having serious financial issues. How can I be supportive?

Hey ladies

My guy is going through a rough time. He made mistakes, took risks, got screwed over and is now in debt. Bad debt. I helped with what I could, but I don’t have the amount of money he needs, and he doesn’t want it. He is really sweat with me, will cook for me, will still take care of me. Of course, he doesn’t see it, he says he is a burden and I am afraid he might push me away, out of fear of not being good enough for me.

How can I be supportive? Without being his mother or savior? I am in a very good place in my life, my life is perfect besides his issues making me sad. So right now I am strong enough for both. I am just afraid he will give up on himself and shut me out. I don’t want to not be there for him.

Please refrain from commenting if you are gonna be mean. I am not asking you to suggest me leaving him, I am just asking girl friends for insight on how to help him.
