House buying troubles

*•A•* • In a relationship

So my SO and I are pretty young, 21 and 24. We have been looking at houses (open houses) and have a good budget for a higher price range for people our age ($500,000). However, a lot of people don’t take us seriously because we look young. We want to be taken seriously and treated the same as the older couples are. We dress appropriately, we’re polite, ask the questions about the house, let them know what we’re looking for, etc.

I’m just wondering if anyone has been in our situation and if so, what did you do? And if not, what advice/tips would you give?

Edit: I wanted to add that we plan on paying it all off right away.

We do have a realtor, but she is usually doing her own open houses when we are looking.
