Thank you!!!

This is long but I just wanted to say I appreciate you all!! I have avoided this group since my son was born March 28th. I used it religiously during my pregnancy and I loved the community that we had. My son was born with 2 collapsed lungs and ESRD due to genetic syndrome that was undiagnosed during pregnancy. We had the anatomy scan and the genetic screening and I had plenty of amniotic fluid so it was honestly a picture perfect pregnancy. (Sorry to those who struggled 😭)

After he was born I tried to stay in the group but it was hard seeing you all at home with these perfectly healthy babies. So I quietly left. We spent 72 days in the NICU with a 41 weeker. We were admitted 3 times in the first month we were “home.” Currently, we do 13 hours of dialysis every night. He is 100% dependent on his Gtube feeds. He is not rolling over, crawling, or anywhere near walking. I didn’t think I could relate to any of you guys but as we reach one year of age, I wanted to check in with all your littles.

I saw some similarities, you guys! He may be behind in some areas but he is still an (almost) one year old little boy.

He has 2 teeth.

He is starting to clap.

He waves bye.

He loves blueberries & wheat thins but spits out the solids.

He is moving and playing games.

So while we are all on different paths we are also the same. Thank you for the reminder. I enjoy seeing all of your sweet babies. 🥰
