Am I obligated to let MIL hold my baby every time we’re out?

Is it ok if she doesn’t hold her sometimes? With my first she was so pushy and I felt like I never got to hold my baby and be with her when we were out if my MIL was there. And if I was baby wearing her or had her in a stroller it always felt awkward to me because I knew my MIL always wanted to be holding her. 
Now I’m due soon with my second and thinking about this honestly stresses me out 
Don’t be mean just tell me if you think I have an obligation to let her hold my baby every time I’m with her. She’s taken my first out of my arms before

Yes & no. 🤷‍♀️ (As long as there are no underlying "issues" or someone is sick) I feel like the "nice" thing to do is let family hold your kiddo (even if only for a moment.)  I know when you first have your kiddo, you really don't want to let them go, hell, they've been a part of you for 40 weeks, I know I didn't want to let them go...but in all honesty, when you go home after seeing your mil, baby is all yours. It's not wrong for family to want to hold your baby for a few minutes. At the end of the day, though, your kid, your rules.

No, you do not have an obligation. At all. Your child isn’t a baby doll to be passed around like a toy. No one is entitled to hold her if you don’t want them to.

No.  I always got super anxious when other people were holding my son and so I would just take him back after a few minutes.  Not going to lie, I’m a little happy he’s terrified of anyone he doesn’t know well at the moment 😂

Nope. I actually hate when people hold my baby when we’re at get togethers and stuff. I obviously understand people are excited and want to hold him (he’s 2 now but I’m talking back when he was little) but I just feel uncomfortable not having him with me. I’ve read blog posts and articles about “dodging” people nicely when they want to hold your baby. One thing I’m going to do more next time is get a wrap and wear him while we’re out so it’s easier to say “oh not right now” or something

I agree with what others have said, but want to add- if someone took my baby out of my arms without asking, I’d be pretty mad. That would not happen again.

Nobody is owed anything when it comes to your baby.
My MIL was the same. I would be rocking my sleeping baby in my arms and would hear, "I can do that if you want a break". And I would just say "I'm okay" or "I've got it, thanks." And now that she's 10.5 months and is walking and does what she wants. My MIL says things like she's so independent or this is the most she's ever let me hold her. 
My way of thinking is it took us 2 years to make her, 2 days to bring her into this world, and there's a good chance she's going to be my only so if I want to hold her I'm going to hold her. The only person I automatically pass her to is her daddy.

You’re not obliged to do anything, but if it were me, I’d speak with my husband about it first to see how he feels. At the end of the day, it’s his baby as much as it is mine, and he should have equal day in who holds the baby/how often etc. 
And id be pretty pissed off if he decided that my mother wasn’t going to be able to hold our baby
