Amending taxes...?

My fiancé claimed our daughter and me on his taxes this year. We did use turbo tax and looking over the files it doesn’t say he was getting anything for claiming me since i am not a child nor had any income or whatever, he did get the child tax credit. Our problem now is that we filed 02/09 and were “accepted “ on 02/09 but we have not received any updates on the irs tracker except for “still being processed” and now im beginning to think him claiming me may have caused an issue with the taxes we desperately need right about yesterday 😞 maybe we should amend and take me off of it and re wait again???

He cannot claim you on taxes until you guys are legally married.it could take up to 3 months for you to get your tax return because a lot of people are doing it right now so it takes a little bit longer.

Just sait until they process it. 
If this is the first year he is claiming you it will be longer. AND it takes longer to sort through the child tax credit stuff too. As long as you can find you stuff on the website I say wait a touch longer.

As long as you lived together then entire year and didn’t work or support yourself, he can claim you. Just wait it out.

I did my taxes on H&R block for free and my return was actually double than what it would have been on turbo tax. Turbo tax is facing a lawsuit for their bait and switch advertising saying it’s free but they force you to pay up at the end. Honestly at this point there is nothing you can do but wait for an update and my recommendation for the future it to go to an actual person or use H&R Block. Good luck. I got my state refund back within 2 weeks and my federal refund in 3 weeks.

I would wait !
I filed at the end of January. Got a letter in February. A 4464c letter saying my refund was under review and it would take 60 days
After the initial 21 days the irs tracker went from saying I was being processed to “still” being processed 
I saw your post and decided to check (I usually check first thing every morning it was in a rush today ) and checked the tracker and mine just updated today to give me a direct deposit date of March 11 ! 
Looking on Facebook this happened to a lot of people and pretty much every one just sits still and it moves on its own without having to change anything. I filed on turbo tax as well but this even happened to my dad and he went to a tax place and had his done.

I'd just wait my mom filed in January still waiting for her taxes and my fiance filed feb 5th and still waiting think it's just slow

Amending them isn't going to change anything right now. And there is no benefit to claiming you unless you are unable to take care of yourself (disabled or child, etc)
Amendments have to be paper filed so you can count on another 6 to 8 weeks.

I took the advice and waited it out we have finally gotten a date for our taxes which couldn’t come at a better time because we have to move soon so we need this desperately for all our fees and cost
