Am I wrong for not replying?
So a friend messaged me Wednesday, we have known each other since high school and hang out occasionally but keep in contact via Facebook. But anyways on Wednesday she messaged asking if she would be able to borrow $60 for formula and diapers for her daughter because her baby’s father was no responding and did not send his money for the month yet.
I replied with “I can but it would have to be tomorrow (Thursday) because that’s when I get paid. She said no worries and the next day I messaged to see if she still needed it, and she replied with “yes I do! I’m in Niagara though and won’t be back until later, I’ll message when I’m home” and I read it but didn’t reply.
I was kind of surprised that she was in Niagara but needs to borrow $60 for formula and diapers. She posted some photos as well from her little trip and she clearly had a good time. I feel kind of wrong for not replying but I also don’t want to have to explain why I don’t want to give her the $60 anymore. At first I felt bad, but when she said she was in Niagara I was more like wtf¿ I was thinking maybe it was something planned in advance, but you’d still need spending money
