Shaving my head...?

So I’ve wanted to shave my head for a very long time. My hair and I have never had a good relationship. She’s so high maintenance, and truly has a mind of her own. The only thing that is stopping me is the worry that I will look horrible. I use my hair to cover myself, if you know what I mean. It is comfortable to be able to hide behind my fluffy locks. I’m wondering if there’s any women here who have buzzed their hair off and how it changed their lives.
