Hospitals considering DNR’s
I read an article from the Washington Post that says some hospitals are considering applying Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders on all patients with Covid-19 or changing their resuscitation procedures, because of lack of resources and the increased danger of exposure to medical staff. I can’t imagine how heart breaking that decision must be to even consider for people who have dedicated their life to healing and for the families involved. What are your thoughts?
(EDIT: this currently applies just to Covid, but it could apply to any number of situations. What do you think of the practice in general?)
