Is Godzilla a Dinosaur or not?

CC has been fairly dead and void of debates lately so I thought I’d throw in something my brother and I have been debating about for about a day now.
I think Godzilla is a mutated dinosaur, he thinks he’s just a “monster”, which I think is a vague description. What do you think?!

According to the old movies, they (sex varies via movie) are lizards that mutated due to nuclear fallout. 
Then again, every movie has a different variant so I don’t know. All of the above?

So google says "king of monsters" but next line says a giant nuclear enhanced prehistoric amphibious reptile (origins may vary)" but then I also think I recall the Matthew Broderick 90s version showing komodo Dragons at the start. So for a long time I thought Godzilla was a giant mutated version of a komodo dragon.
