Which type of double stroller?

Side by side for sure.  You may have trouble going into certain stores if they don’t have wide doors if you get a side by side one.

This is what we have and we love it! We got it on sale at buy buy baby for $250 just by luck. You could probably find a used one. My son is almost 2 and weighs 35lbs and the stroller holds up to 50lbs each side.

I have the duo modes and I LOVE it. Mine are 3 years apart (3 and 4 months) and my son still loves to sit in the seat. I hate side by sides for when we go places. I have one only because it’s a jogging stroller so I only use it for walks lol

We have both types, and by far we used the side by side the most!! We have a mountain buggy Duet and a uppababy VISTA. Our toddler hate how he sits in the VISTA when it's a double. And it feels somewhat unstable compared to the mountain buggy.

There are pluses and minuses for each. Most of my friends prefer tandem strollers because they fit through doorways and it prevents fighting between siblings. For a running stroller, however, I think side by side is better because it’s more stable.

This is this brand we have.  It's super lightweight, easy to fold, both seats recline separately, and narrow enough to fit through doorways. It also steers really easily. Our kids are 4 months and almost 3 years. I opted to buy a side by side because I thought the kids would have more room to grow into it versus a front to back. The seats have a max weight of 50 pounds each.

We have this and I love it! The back seat can be removed and it has a little bench with seatbelt and foot rest for a toddler to sit or stand
