Question

About 6 months pp and my face started lookin like a teenager again. I have red marks that haven’t faded and I keep getting a couple new pimples a month. My doctor won’t prescribe anything until I stop breastfeeding. Before pregnancy I was on aczone and tretnoin. I miss being pregnant cause my skin was good. I just wish I didn’t have to struggle with acne for the rest of my life. Any good products or suggestions?

This is a nice cleanser. Use it on DRY skin, then let it sit for a little while before rinsing with warm water. Right now is also a perfect time to go without makeup to let your skin heal. I had horrible skin around 6months pp as well because that’s when our hormones start changing, hair falls out, etc, but it does get better. At this point I only wash my face with a gentle goat milk bar soap in the shower at night, and in the morning I just splash with water. I use nontoxic makeup (100% Pure, Jane Iredale, Ilia, Juice Beauty, W3ll People, etc), which helps to keep my skin healthy even on the days I have to wear makeup. You can also make a homemade mask to use once or twice a week with yogurt, turmeric, lemon juice, and honey. There’s also a clay mask on Amazon called Aztec Secret which is very effective, but it’s very drying so you need to use a good moisturizer with it.
