Kicked out of ultrasound

So I had my first ultrasound today, went in to the room, was chatting away, I took a drink of water before laying down on the bed to be scanned and it went down the wrong way and I started coughing to clear it, my eyes were streaming and I was trying to drink more to clear my throat out and the sonographer looked at me said “nope not scanning you, you shouldn’t have come here thanks now you’ve put me at risk. Go home and don’t come back until we make a new appointment”. I kept explaining it wasn’t a cough I actually choked on my water it was not a cough. I was choking on my friggin water!!! I would never put anyone at risk if I suspected I had the virus, my water just went down the wrong tube!! As I was leaving she was muttering to her colleague behind me that I was so irresponsible and selfish. I’m so angry and upset because this could have been handled so much better. I know it’s a scary time but surely you can tell the difference between someone coughing and choking on a drink and her attitude about it was so rude! Sorry I needed a rant!

- also I get an early scan because I have stage 4 endo and I had losses back to back last year.
