Advice ?

Long story short my boyfriend of almost 4 years we have been off and on a lot recently. We have a son together, live in different states. Things have been really rocky and he’s said some pretty terrible things, so have I. Undoubtedly my parents dislike him and my dad even told me if I ever get back with him he’s done with me. I love him, I truly believe we can work things out and he even wrote me a letter recently apologizing for everything he’s done and saying he wants us to work things out etc. I want to be with him and I even want to move in with him so we can be a family with our little boy. I know my parents would be extremely mad and upset, I just don’t know what to do because they’ve done so much for my son and I, I don’t want to disappoint them.
