What is this?! It won’t go away 😞

My 17month old son has eczema, has only had the one patch on the side of his face next to his ear. But then these popped up on his torso and back. The doctor said it was ringworm, he prescribed more hydrocortisone and some steroid cream to mix together and then put on the sores. Been doing so for almost 2 weeks as suggested! His usual eczema patch on his face went away but not the ones on his body! Pretty sure it’s not ringworm although it looks like it! Stopped using the steroid cream and am just using hydrocortisone. Still not going away 😡 they keep getting bigger! Trying to avoid going to the clinic where there is a lot of risk of the virus. Also he has a maple syrup smell on and off for the past few months.
