Would my dr schedule for 38 weeks?

They have my c section scheduled for 39, im just turning 36 weeks and am fucking miserable. I got pregnant just 4 months after my first c section, I have an almost 1 year old boy running around driving me insane and I’m starting to get to where it hurts to walk I can hardly walk, my scar has been burning/stinging, I’m starting to itch on the bottom of my feet at night. This is fucking miserable. God I love my babies but I’m ready for this to be over with. Anybody ask to have baby at 38 weeks? I don’t wanna do it obviously if baby can have complications but this is terrible for my body....

Nope. It's a insurance thing usually or hospital policy. Most if not all won't do earlier than 39 unless you go into labor before then. Sorry girl hang in there!

Not unless there is a medical reason. I had gestational diabetes and my dr said they’d schedule it earlier than 39 weeks if my growth scan showed him growing too large. My scan showed he was right on target so they wouldn’t schedule it early. I ended up going into labor at 38+3 though. Maybe you’ll go into labor early too (but not TOO early of course!)

My doctor refused to schedule before 39 weeks. You’ll have to ask yours but I believe most doctors will only schedule earlier than 39 weeks if there is a complication like gestational diabetes or preeclampsia.

With the itching on your feet mention it to your doctor and see if it’s cholestasis. Cholestasis causes itching of the palms of your hands and bottom of your feet and it’s worse at night time. 
If you had this they would probably try to schedule earlier as the farther along you are with cholestasis the more chance of stillbirth

Mine refused and I was in so much pain and barely able to walk comfortably.  My baby was pushing my hip out.  I worked  until the end, but tried to get them to go a week earlier.  They said they would put me out of work, but not take the baby earlier.  So I declined, I wanted all my time with baby.

There needs to bed medical necessity for it. I tried to get mine to go a day before 39 and they would do if the mfm doctor approved it. I ended up going into labor a few days before 39 weeks so they took me early since I was in labor. Every doctor is different but the hospitals have guidelines so it doesn’t hurt to ask. Worst they say is no.
