Oh absolutely they can. With my first, my dog would always lay his head on my belly and had to sleep against my stomach every night. Then with my second before I took the actually test, my dog started doing the same thing with he did with my first pregnancy.

I have 3 dogs and one of them will not leave my side hes become a little protective of me with the other 2 dogs! Very snuggly and lays right on me
