Confused & nervous

My bf and I broke up couple weeks ago, he called me tonight and said how he realized a lot of things and no ones got him the way i do in terms of support, love, hard times etc. He said how he wants to work things out and things will take time but will be better than before. I told him I’m scared to get hurt again, he understood and said it won’t happen, I told him it’ll take me a lot of time to be normal again. I really want to give him a chance and make this work but I’m nervous, any advice ?
