Crossing my fingers - postponing life projects

Hello you wonderful ladies,

TLDR: wondering if we’ll have to push back our wedding and life plans a 2nd time around

So I don’t usually feel the need to post but I just have this heavy weight on my heart.

I am on this app but I live in France (I know the big majority of you guys are in the US or an english-speaking country).

Last year, my husband and I were supposed to celebrate our union with a non-traditional unity ceremony. We got married at the courthouse with very few people and were waiting to have a big party later on with all of our friends & family.

Lots happened in our personal lives and friendships (my supposed best friends turned on me and accused me of being selfish and obsessed with my man cause I wanted to spend time with him before a long deployment)... but the worst was that his command (he is in the French navy) decided that him being on board of the ship was an absolute need.

So we ended up pushing back our September ‘19 wedding to July ‘20.

It all pushed back our plans of having babies and going on our honeymoon...

We are supposed to get married mid July and will very soon start to ttc. We also have booked our honeymoon at the end of the summer as he will be deploying for 4 months towards the end of the year.

I am so nervous for all our plans. I am trying to stay positive as best as I can. I know what matters most right now are our healths and our loved ones being safe and secure. Still, we have been planning this wedding since Spring ‘18 and it’s hard not to feel defeated.

I know there isn’t a perfect solution cause this situation is a never-seen-before type of thing but I guess I just needed to confide in someone.
