No Period on BC Pill - Is this normal?

Hey ladies,

This is my first pack of birth control pills ever. I’m in the middle of week 3. My natural period start date was 5 days ago, but I haven’t started at all yet. I did get some PMS symptoms for a couple days - emotions, cramping, bloating, etc. But no bleeding, not even spotting. Is this normal to completely miss your period while on the pill?? Or at least when you first start the pill?

I started the pills as soon as I picked them up from the pharmacy; I didn’t wait until the 1st day of my next period or the Sunday after my next period. The doctor said this would be okay as long as I used a backup method for 10 days.

Is this normal? I got married on the 18th and my birth control was technically in full effect on the 19th (10 days). We used a condom on the 18th though - in fact, we kept using condoms until the 23rd. It’s not possible that I could be pregnant right? Like the reason I’m missing my period is probably the birth control??? Help!!
