Opinions on baby walkers?

I thought most people used them and wanted one for my little boy. He’s 4 month so I’ve just started looking ready for when he reaches 5/6 months but ever since I started looking I’m so shocked at the negative comments about them. 
What do everyone think about them?

They’re banned in some countries. Considering the US is apparently medically incompetent I’m going to follow the other countries lead and not use one. 🤣

No not worth it they don’t teach babies how to walk 🤷🏻‍♀️ they aren’t don’t do anything to help them strengthen their core and they are bad for their hips. The ones they push are totally fine but the ones they walk inside of are a NO.

If properly supervised away from stairs etc. I see no issue. I think all the issues can from unsupervised use. My daughter loved hers. We limited time in it to 15min or so at a time so she wouldn’t rely on it for walking style or practice, just fun.

Unpopular opinion here. My son loved his🤷🏻‍♀️ we have no stairs and he loved to sit in his and play. He walked before he was 1, he's 2.5 now and he has no hip or back problems and he never had an accident in it. I never got rid of it so if my second baby likes it when he's old enough he can use it too under supervision

I used one for all four of my girls and I never had an issue. I never had stairs either but I also watched my child sooo... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t like them. Too bulky and pointless. I used one several years ago and it was basically just used as a snack tray. It was never used for it’s intended purpose. They actually have to learn to stand on their own and walk without one.

My son is 9.5 months and doesn’t use the traditional sit in ones (we have a push along one). I made the choice not to use them early on and don’t regret it, but as always, your baby, your choice.

I had a Jumperoo and was told by my pediatrician that it’s very bad for hip development. She told me I could leave my baby in the Jumperoo only for 10 minutes per day max. So it was kinda worthless. And my LO was walking on her own at 10 months so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Eh my son loved his around 5/6 months, I’d put him in there for maybe 20 mins at a time once or twice a day when I had to pump. No they don’t teach baby anything and could even delay walking by a smidge but we used it because my son LOVED it and had so much fun in it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I always watched him like a hawk, stairway blocked, cabinets locked, nothing hanging or in his reach that he shouldn’t be touching etc etc
