Advice please read.. At what age did you get your first car? Did you buy it yourself or was it gifted?

Any advice on trying to save for a car or any advice in general about getting your first car or saving?

I kinda feel like a loser because I don’t have a car yet. I graduated high school at 18, worked for a bit, I was at a pretty low place at this time (mentally) and moved in with my boyfriend (an older man... my dumb mistake) He bought a car (under his name) and surprised me told me it was for me. He paid for rent while I would buy groceries, pay my phone bill and smaller things like that, then I eventually started going to college full time. I’m 20 years old and I feel dumb for not having enough for a car. I was trying to look for a job so I can work while going to school part time before this virus happened but I never got a call back. He became emotionally and physically abusive so I left him and he of course took his car back.. I’m living with my parents again, our relationship has gotten so much better due to me being in a better place mentally, but I worry about finding a job so I can save up and finish school.
