How does your baby sleep?

My 8 week old HATES being fully swaddled so when he sleeps alone we swaddle him with his hands out , but he tends to “jump” or seem startled and wake himself up . He only sleeps if he is on his tummy on my chest or shoulder . Any suggestions ? How does your baby sleep?

I started to use this with my daughter when she was 3 weeks old since she hated being swaddled and would also wake herself up and this has her fall asleep with her hands in an upward position just how she likes

My son did that.   Very strong startle reflex and was an awful sleeper.  He honestly didn't sleep through the night on his own until almost 2.5.  Part of that was my fault, though, cause i didn't try too hard to keep him in his own bed til little sister was born.

My 11 week old likes to sleep on his side. He wakes himself still sometimes but not as much as when he’s on his back

My little just turned 9 week today and on Sunday I began transitioning him out of the swaddle. What I ready was to do 5 days with one arm out, then 5 days with the opposite arm out then 5 days with both arms out but still swaddling their bodies then after those 15 days they should be ready for a basic sleeper sack or to sleep regularly. So far it has gone well with the one arm out.
