Wedding Planner or Plan it yourself ?

Hi Ladies i just got engaged at the end of March and I’m still stuck on if i want to plan it myself or get a wedding planner. Money wise i want to plan it myself but i also want to make sure it’s perfect and idk what order the planning goes in. So what do you guys prefer I’m just curious and how was the experience of having a wedding planner or doing it yourself?
Also if you planned your own wedding can we message each other.

Plan it yourself! Wedding planning is so much fun! 🤩 I didn’t have a planner, but I had a wedding coordinator to handle everything the day of the wedding, which I really recommend. She made sure everything got done the way I wanted it done and that everything ran smoothly. I was able to just enjoy the day instead of having to worry about the details.

I mostly planned everything myself (wedding planners aren’t popular in my area). But I hired a “day of coordinator” to do our timeline and interact with vendors on the day of. She kept things rolling on schedule so we didn’t have to worry about it. She also did some behind the scenes items like delivering breakfast to me and the bridesmaids while we got hair and makeup done. I called her my fairy godmother lol

I planed mine in like 2 months while full time in school. So worth it. It wasn’t extravagant. I did all the decorating myself. I did a ceremony privately and then 2 days later did the reception.

We did Vegas. We checked off what we wanted from a package and they took care of everything. We showed up, had a great time with 40 of our closest relatives/friends and it was super easy and fun!

We planned ourselves but also chose a venue that handled a lot-  decorations, dinner, bar.
