Says he’s sorry but it’s still doing the same thing?

I’ve been talking to this guy for a while now. Before the whole quarantine thing we went out a few times and I’d go over to his house here and there. We never actually had sex but we’d do other things. We’ve been texting every day. The last week he hasn’t talked to me as much. He told me he just has a lot on his plate right now, which I know is true. He has a small kid, just started school, and just had to move out and find another place. He texted me once yesterday and that was it. I texted him later at night and he said he was sorry he just had a rough day. He said that the day before too. I was the last to text last night and I don’t know if I should text again later if he doesn’t text me. He’s posted something on his story earlier today and even looked at mine from last night. I just don’t know what to do. Like he apologizes and says he’s sorry and is super kind but then won’t text me all day again. Maybe I’m just overthinking? Help!!
