When can I start birth control pills?

The pack I got from my dr says on the Sunday after your next period, but I haven’t had a period since I had my daughter 3 months ago. Can I just start taking it or do I have to wait until I finally get a period?

You can start whenever, but I personally like to start them on Sunday, since that's the beginning of the week and 28-day pack, so I like it to match. But you can start whenever.

I do the fifth day start. The fifth day of my period I start the first pill. You’re protected immediately and it’s the most natural rhythm for your body. If you want to start today, just use the stickers that came with the pack.

There should be instructions for breastfeeding moms, too. Mine had them but I don't remember what they said...I think it just said whenever you want.
