Should I set up my bassinet & car seat?

I’m 35 weeks pregnant today, & I’m wondering if I should set up the bassinet & car seat?

Lol I’m 36 weeks and I’ve had that stuff done for 2 weeks. I just like omg it done and ready. Swing will be here Thursday and that will be set up too!!

I'd set up the bassinet but not the car seat. Just do the carseat once you're in labour or get your partner to do it before you leave hospital. If you set it up early then have a crash you'll have to get a new seat, and with the pandemic I'd be worried about the replacement coming late and not having a seat for baby being born. My hospital watches you sort the carseat before you leave anyway to make sure it's in right and teach you if you do it wrong. My sons (and soon to be daughters) carseat is actually still put away in a cupboard atm, I need to lift it out and make sure it's all clean but I've never got round to it.

I’ve set up most of my stuff and installed one of our car seats in my husbands car, we will have our other car detailed at the dealership next week and put the other one in after that. I just want to have everything ready to go so I can relax before bubs gets here.

Yes!!! I've had  everything ready for weeks. You never know when they'll decide to show.  My first one came at 36 weeks.

Set up the bassinet yes, but the car seat no. Just keep it attached to the base so you’re ready to put it in whatever car it needs to go in when you’re in labor. I have three kids so when I’m in labor my in laws will have to take them in our Yukon and we will have to take my husbands small car to the hospital. So for now, the seat is ready to go by the door .

Our bassinet has been up for a couple weeks now, and our car seat is attached to the base in the back (trunk) of our suv! Not buckled into the seat yet.

I personally am waiting until 37 weeks for the seat, in the event of an accident you’d have to replace anything & that’s just inconvenient. I also need to clean out my car. 😬

We are waiting on the carseat,  thankfully it's a really quick and simple install but I don't want to have to buy a new seat or base if there's an accident and we're still using my car to go places as needed and im paranoid about an accident.
The bassinet will get done this weekend,  even if I have hire someone to move the darn furniture lol

Ill be 36 weeks friday and the base is installed and everything is put together every person is different and do things at different times do it when you are ready
