Braxton Hicks??

I've had extreme back pain the past 24 hours but now my stomach is starting to get really tight for about 30 seconds then stops. I'm also having pain lower in my stomach. And my head is pounding!! Braxton Hicks or labor contractions? How do you know the difference? Help!!!  I'm 36w3d

My doctor told me contractions 5 minutes apart or less for an hour to to L&D.

Labor contractions have a pattern and come in waves. They last a minute or so each...taking its time to tighten, tightening tight for a few seconds, and then slowly releasing. If you feel general tightness that doesn’t follow this pattern, it’s likely just BH

If you change positions and it goes away it’s BH.
