Tips for getting rid of the paci?

My girl still loooves the paci for nap and bedtime. She seems very attached - what were your methods and success stories?

Cut off the tip but still allow her to have the pacifier after you cut off the nipple.
That way you aren’t taking it away, but she cannot use it.

We literally cut the top off and and left just a little part. I tried it about 3 months ago and then caved because I hated him to cry so much. Then I saw how bad his teeth were and had to try again. Expect there to be some crying. I kept at it for about a week and now it’s been almost 6 weeks and no paci!

I thought my daughter was attached to the paci too but I just took it away cold turkey one night and she didn’t even ask for it. I was very surprised.

Well, my daugther was the same and got tired much earlier then usual at my moms house one time and I didn’t have one with me. My mom put her down for a nap and it went surprisingly easy and I was like HOWWWWW did you do that? So just starting witb daytime naps I experimented with it some more and apparently she just wasn’t as attached to her paci as I thought she was because she just let that shit go and never looked back😝 not once did she give me trouble
