Is there such a thing?

So let’s say you live with an injury that often gets re-injured and you don’t use painkillers. You just deal with the pain.

Is there such a thing as developing a higher pain tolerance from just living in pain? I want to have my back looked at again. And my doctor is going to ask me why the actual hell I didn’t get it looked at sooner because you can actually see and feel the spot in my back that’s bad.

It just doesn’t hurt that bad anymore 🤷‍♀️ I’ve gotten used to it. I used to be crippled by the pain but now I can push through it and act like it’s not there.

The reason I want to get it looked at is because when you feel on my back, it feels so gnarly and I don’t want it to start affecting my posture or other things.
