Going back to school as an adult

Hi all so I took some time to figure out what it was I wanted to do in life, and now I'm ready to go back to school. I took some courses and am planning to do some online at the school I was attending previously, the problem I've come across is that I need to take new placement tests. I'm currently in a different state living in a hospital so I cant take my tests in person. So I cant enroll in the courses I need. Should I look into a different school? I'm not sure where to start or how to get enrolled.
