I'm 15 and my boyfriend and I have been together for a month, we've known each other for years and we were best friends before we started dating, we talk about sexual things, and I feel like I'm ready, I'm just afraid if we do it'll hurt, the largest thing I've ever used is a menstrual cup, I want to because I'm really happy with him, but I'm just afraid of how bad it might feel, so should I wait or is there something I can do so it won't hurt?

You're 15, you've barely started dating him, and you have your whole life ahead of you. Wait to have sex. And get on birth control before you start having sex and make sure you understand safe sex practices. If you're not going to be consistent with taking the pill on time every day, try a non-daily option like Nexplanon or the patch; it does no good if you're not going to be consistent with the pill.

I lost my virginity when i was 14. Now I regret loosing it at such a young age but not anything else about it because at the time I felt ready and safe. If you feel like you are ready than don't let anyone else's opinions affect yours. At the end of the day It's always your choice. The first time hurts for some girls but if your partner respects you and your body it will make it much easier. Make sure you are always safe too :)

I can’t tell you what to do with your body and I don’t want to but I do want to say - don’t be ashamed for wanting to wait! I feel like teenagers think they need to have sex right now and they def do not if they do not want to! I waited until I was 21 (literally like three months ago). I don’t regret it but I low key wish I would have waited longer bc I freaked out, literally to this day about it. Like we used protection, my periods have been as regular as possible and I’m still get moments of freaking out whether I think I’m pregnant or not. And I think it’s a sign that I was not mentally ready even though I knew I was emotionally. 
In regards to it hurting, I’m 5’, so yes I’m small and my bf is 6’. So you can image how that went. It hurt for me, I bleed a good amount just bc my hymen stretched more than it was used too. I kind of didn’t enjoy it BUT I went in knowing that. Your first time will most likely never be the best time. 
Remember to always use a condom! Make sure your partner knows how to properly put one on. And always use a new one for every new sexual act!
