Wheres my period?

Question

I havent had my period since beginning of february, I'm not pregnant, I'm 45 yrs old.
I really dont want to think about menopause but is it possible?
I'm told I'm too young?
I wanna think its stress as I was going through a lot and I recently moved back to New York from Washington state due to d.v. situation.  
What should I do? 
Should I schedule a drs appt  or wait a bit longer?

Exactly the same is happening to me now. I’m 45 and always had my period even if a bit irregular. Then I had a period end of February and now still nothing on day 80. I am quite worried as still ttc #1.
I did 2 FSH tears a week apart - one was negative and the next one positive. I’m really hoping that this is not sudden menopause. Good luck and let me know what happens please. Xxxx

Most women do not realize that menopause onset as perimenopause onset is not actually primary driven by age but by the egg reserve. Female is born with all her eggs and although on average the last one runs out in early 50st some women have much lower reserve. This means they run out of eggs faster. I also wrongly thought we loose just one egg monthly which is not true. Currently i am 39 and loose 16 every month. Have lost much more like 30 or 40 per cycle in my twenties. Of all pulled eggs from rezerve just one is ovulated rest die. When very few are left to mature you enter perimenopause then when just one menopause eventually last one runs out. Then your period stops. Check your hormones and egg reserve. I know people that entered nenopause at 35. I have also heard women doing last ditch effort ivf in 20s due to very low deserve. Every woman has different egg count. My granny had period until 60. This is an example of very high egg reserve.

Some people can go through menopause as early as 30 years old. To me 45-50 sounds like an reasonable age to start going through those changes. Go to the doctor and ask for blood tests 😊
