Should the man be in the room to see the birth?

I saw a YouTube video of people in the 1940’s saying how most of them rather not see the birth.
Now a days, we see more men in the room. What do you think?

I didn't want my husband looking down there, but he was next to me. I don't know why a man wouldn't want to witness his child being born, or be there for his wife through the process. What a big life event to miss out on.

I won’t force my husband to be in the room if he doesn’t want to be there. But if he does, he has every right to be.
Aside from that, he’s my support and my birth partner! As far as I’m concerned, he put that kid there, he can watch the show as they come out lol.
I’ve been spending months preparing him “I hope you’re ready for blood and poop!”

Couldn't imagine not having my hubby there.  He never even missed a doctor appointment with any of my pregnancies, so can't imagine him not being at the birth.  Think seeing the placenta was a little much for him though lol 😁

My husband wanted to see it all and he did and I’m sure he wants to do it for baby two too but I want him to video this one.

My husband was a huge support with our son’s birth. I wanted him by my side the whole time. He kept me calm and he’s my spouse, so I really didn’t care what he saw😂
