How do you feel when your husband/boyfriend makes a sexist joke, such as; “dinner is a woman’s job” “it’s my money, you just spend it” ?? Then they claim it’s a joke and to calm down...

Just curious how woman really feel.

I adore my husband but he makes a lot of these “sexist” jokes.. he thinks they are funny and I normally shrug them off. But it does make me angry inside... I just don’t say anything normally because that just adds fuel to the fire.

My father never made these jokes growing up so I find them odd and offensive... and just.. not funny...

We are going to have two daughters and I want to empower them... not make them feel inferior to a man. He’s always had some insecurities and I feel these jokes are apart of that.

Anyone have similar experiences? How did you handle it?
