My boyfriend hit me and idk what to do

So me and my boyfriend have been dating for two years and eight months. Everything has been fine we’ve had rough patches like every couple does. Our ups and downs but last night was the worst. So for two days he went mia and had been at his friends house and we didn’t talk as much and I know at his friends house my boyfriend smokes but his friends do other drugs which my boyfriend doesn’t do. But I had a feeling that he may have been pressured into taking another drugs. So I was worried and I showed up to his friends house to bring him home and he was very drunk and he looked like he was other drugs besides weed but when I asked he said no. We got into a big ass argument I brought him home and he would not go home be repeatedly asked me to bring him to his friends house again so then I do and we just argued the whole ride back and then I told him basically I should go mia for two days Nd he how he likes it and he said he would kill me then started chocking me but I pushed him off and accidentally pushed him hard enough that he hit his head in my car and then he got very angry and I hopped out the car and he slapped me but he friends ran out the house and broke us apart and now I’m just stuck bc I don’t know what to

Do bc I love him a lot and he has never hit me besides last night.
