Scared about my next period

My period comes in a few days and I’m terrified. My last period was that bad. I got up in the morning and did my usual routine then I stood at the kitchen sink to wash some dishes and I got a really bad cramp and when I looked down blood was running down my legs. And yes I had underwear on it ran straight through them. Then the cramps stayed for the whole period. I usually only cramp the 1st day. My periods aren’t like that. It was to much blood. Now I’m scared it’ll happen again. HELP!!!!
