I Want To Get Married At 16

Me and my boyfriend just hit our one year mark and he asked me to marry him. In my state you can get married at 16 with parental consent. I've been begging my dad but he keeps telling me no! He keeps telling me to wait until I'm 18. How can I convince him to let me get married.
