Itchy/Irritated Vulva ?

Ok so this is a little tmi sorry, so maybe less than a week ago I noticed I had a little bit of itching around my vulva, I’ve had a yeast infection before & I remember the itching & redness and it feels a little similar but there is no discharge like I had last time. This sensation is more like burning if I scratch too much (which I try not to it’s so hard sometimes) The only other thing I can think of is Im on a combination birth control pill (Taytulla) for the first time & this is my first pack, the itching started around the time I began spotting so I assumed maybe it was just a little irritated but nothing seems to help so far (not even showering or cleaning it with water) My period is due in a few days and I was trying to see if after my period everything cleared up because maybe the itching is related to the blood/spotting and once it’s gone the itch will be gone since it started around the same time as the spotting. I do have medicine that treats yeast infections but I don’t know if I should use it because I don’t really think this is a yeast infection. I would love any opinions or if anybody has had a similar experience & how they relieved this itch. Thank you
