❗TW❗Is patronizing a form of abuse?

Is this abuse or just a toxic relationship? My boyfriend seems to have my best interests at heart but he always talks down to me like he's right and I'm wrong. I have told him multiple times I don't like it when he patronizes me but he never seems to change. He never attacks me as a person, he will make seemingly helpful suggestions that make me feel like I'm stupid.

Like today I was cleaning our condo and asked if he would be willing to mop and sweep. He said okay. I let him know I would rather do it instead because I wanted to finish cleaning before I ate my lunch and he wanted to eat first. He got mad at me and told me I should sit and eat first because the crumbs would just get on the floor anyway. I let him know I was fine with that and I would feel better cleaning everything, first. He got mad at me and started assertively stating I sit down and eat. I started raising my voice and telling him that I wanted to sweep and mop. The past few months I have been standing up to him more as I am usually quiet and meek. This behaviour occurs almost daily and it has added up to the point that things that seem petty to other people really bother me. When I started crying as I was upset, he sarcastically stated that he didn't know why I was so upset. I feel like he gaslights me and tries to make me seem like I'm crazy.
