Want to lose 40lbs need incentives

Hi! I’ve been working on losing weight and so I am looking for some helpful tips!

So far, I have started to go back to the gym. While I’m there I do at least a half hour of cardio (usually elliptical) and an hour to an hour and a half of strength training (leg press, adductors, abdominal, chest press etc) that uses a variety of my muscles. I really push myself!! I tell myself I’m almost done... get through it, then that I need to do more. Again and again. I do as much as I possibly can. Then I drink a bottle of premier protein clear and go tanning. I have been aiming for 3 or 4 times a week since I am going for such long periods of time (Been going 2 weeks so far, so not real long yet). Then I come home drink extend bcaas that help repair my muscles from the work out so I can keep going often.

While home, I have a treadmill (not using much since I already do a lot of cardio) some weights and do little things like squats and leg lifts, take the dog on a walk or whatever. Just trying to stay moving at least.

I have started to try and eat a low carb diet. For example, grilled chicken and tons of broccoli with 0 carb shredded cheese on top. Sometimes I slip up, but I am still getting used to it. Definitely not my normal habits but I do enjoy lots of healthy food too so it’s pretty easy!

So I’m wondering if anyone thinks what I have started will help me lose weight. I am 165 😭 and I really want to be 125. If you have anything to add to what I’m doing please feel more than welcome to give me advice on that. Also, don’t hesitate to drop any low carb meals that you love ! And what worked for you?? Please please tell me! Thank you
