My daughter just turned 4 in May. She stopped using a pacifier at 4months old. She always preferred to have her fingers in her mouth. She uses either a burp cloth or a baby facecloth as her lovey she doesn’t like the blanket lovey’s bc she doesn’t like the silk trimming.

Anyway ... my sister thinks that since she’s (possibly) starting Pre-K in the fall that I should break her of using one. She uses it during a car ride and at bed time. She uses when she’s feeling anxious. It’s what helps calm her. Do you think 4 is too old for her to still be using it?

This is the current one she been liking. It’s a unicorn facecloth from Target’s baby section.

And this is typically how she use it. Fingers in her mouth and lovey to her nose. (She says she’s smelling it).

Should I send if during nap time at preschool or is that not allowed?
