Last name help?

Me and the baby daddy broke things off and i no longer want to hyphenate our last names. Who has final say on babys last name? Hes sayin it has to be hyphenated but i just want mine and said we can hyphenate down the road if things go well with co parenting.
Hes the reason we broke up. Engaged. Cheated on me and has been lying for couple years going on single sites. On other social media pretending to be single

You’ll have the final say since you aren’t married and I wouldn’t hyphenate it.

If you are not married, he has ZERO say in literally anything. And just because he is on the birth certificate doesn't mean baby has to have his last name. 
So best bet is to do your name, and if you guys work things out and get married down the line you can change babys last name. 
If you do whatever he says, you will regret it. My sister and sister in law both did it and they feel so stupid. Because the dads made them feel like they were together again and getting married and it was just a ploy to get his way.

If your not married then you will be the one that fills out the birth certificate. You can choose the entire name and decide if you want his name on the birth certificate or not.
