Potty training question

How did you know your girl was ready?

I’m using the Oh Crap! Potty training book so I’ve read it and that’s the method I’m following.

My daughter is 2 years 3 months. We tried when she was almost 2 and it was clear she wasn’t ready. I took out the potty this am, have a reward system and she was excited. Then, she took her potty, put it back in the bathroom along with her “potty stickers” and said “no”. I don’t want to force it, but she’s tugging at her diaper when it’s wet, she tells me when she’s going and she likes to be independent.
