MW unable to reach cervix to do sweep

Hello all. I have just been to my midwife appointment... I am 40 weeks pregnant today. My midwife said that I am 2cm dilated but she was unable to reach my cervix to do the membrane sweep. She booked me another appointment for her to try the sweep again at 41 weeks. I am home now and can’t stop crying because I just want my baby in my arms. I honestly did everything I could and I thought I would give birth before my due date, but here I am. Has anyone experienced not being able to have the sweep done? Please share your experiences with me.
